The history between the Gragnano family and pasta dates back to ancient times. The Gragnano family care deeply for pasta, and through their La Fabbrica Della Pasta company they have created a very unique artisan range of pasta.
La Fabbrica Della Pasta creates its delicious pasta with water from the springs of Mount Vesuvius and the finest durum wheat semolina then finally died the traditional bronze colour using dyes. This pasta has been through 3 generations of the Gragnano family and is still made the same way as it was during the first by using skill and patience, although now the company has expanded and it has a wider variety of pasta including tricolore and gluten free varients.
Translating as “Large Grooved”, the short, tubular and hollow Rigatoni’s ridges and holes are perfect with any sauce, from cream or cheese to meat making it an ideal counterpart for meat and other chunky sauces and is also a great choice for baked pasta dishes.
